Funny stuff. Where’s the club at? I used to do stand-up. Now I just type short sentences on blogs.
It’s the Ice House in Pasadena. They just had this backdrop for the night. Craig Robinson’s funk band was headlining. You can’t see it but I couldn’t move an inch or I would’ve fallen into the snare drum.
Where did you used to perform?
New Jersey/New York/Philadelphia places. I was never a headliner or anything. I was at the point where a headliner might recognize my face if I was lucky.
Yeah, I haven’t done it in a bit. The road burns you out. I still have a lot of friends who keep at it and love it. I just don’t have the mental toughness it takes to grind.
I can only imagine. The closest to working the road I ever got was getting invited to be on a free bar show an hour away. That was annoying enough for me.
